Insite Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Junior Accountant to join a established Practice in Canterbury
This is a fantastic opportunity who has a small amount of experience within Practice & is looking to excel their career, take on more responsibility and progress within Accountancy.
For this position, we are looking for someone who is currently working in Practice - even if it is a small amount of experience. You will have some knowledge of accountancy/tax and ideally somewhere along your AAT Qualification but this is not a necessity.
Roles & Responsibilities for the Junior Accountant in Canterbury
Gathering information and preparing tax computations for client Tax Returns
Filing timely self-assessment tax returns
Proactively manage and handle all direct customer contact/correspondence-telephones, emails and letters in a timely and professional manner.
GBP50000 - GBP65000 per annum
Our client, a forward thinking, entrepreneurial firm of Chartered Accountants are now looking for a Practice Manager to join the team.
Roles & Responsibilities of the Practice Manager in Canterbury
Accounts preparation for a wide range of business entities from both manual and computerised records
Reviewing the work of more junior members of staff within the practice
Taking responsibility for the planning, execution and completion of audits including large multi-million turnover companies
Preparation of corporation tax and a good knowledge of personal tax
Preparation and review of VAT returns
Working closely with the partners to ensure quality of output and efficiency of procedures
The ideal candidate for the role of the Practice Manager in Canterbury
Must have a working background in accountancy practice
ACCA or ACA qualified
Must have experience managing your own portfolio of clients
Technically competent
Good knowledge on accounts preparation and personal taxation
Confident in their own ability and now wishes to develop their knowledge and skills to enable them to progress their career
