An exciting opportunity has arisen within this established City practice for an accomplished Personal Tax Senior to join their dynamic and sizeable personal tax department. You will be responsible for a wide-ranging portfolio of clients which includes a number of high net worth individuals and some non-domicile and non UK resident clients as well as individuals working in a broad range of sectors. In addition to handling the compliance work , you will also work with the manager and partner in identifying and advising on planning opportunities and have direct contact with both the HMRC and the clients. Ideally, you will be ATT and/or CTA qualified and possess at least 5 years' UK personal tax experience.

A well-established and respected Accountancy Practice based in Essex, are looking to recruit a Personal Tax Senior to join their busy Tax team. The firm have recently acquired several new clients and as such their Tax team is growing rapidly.
Duties will include;
Managing a portfolio of clients including individuals, partnerships, and trusts
Preparation of self-assessment tax returns for review by senior staff
Review of work prepared by junior members of staff
Providing guidance to colleagues in the accounts departments on tax-specific matters.
Involvement in corporation tax compliance, to include preparation or review of corporation tax returns
Involvement in training and development of junior team member
Opportunities to work on ad hoc projects and technical advisory work.

Main responsibilities of the role:
The role will be approximately 80% audit & 20% financial accounting
Preparation and audit of statutory accounts to comply with UK GAAP and International auditing and accounting standards.
Preparation of accounts for partnerships and sole traders as well as management accounts
Responsible for the training and supervision of new and junior members of staff in all aspects of accountancy and audit, and the use of CCH accounting software.
Respond to and deal with general client queries, passing on to appropriate person for resolution where necessary.
